On 24th February 2007, a 500MVA - 400/220/15 kV auto-transformer was delivered to Pątnów to be installed in the 220/110kV grid substation of SE Pątnów. The device was produced in Simens Company in Nurnberg (Germany). Its weight is 280 tons (transport weight - 187 tons, target weight - 295 tons). On 1st March 2007, a 50/25/25 MVA transformer for power plant internal load was delivered to „Pątnów” Power Station to be installed in block A.
In April 2007, a contract between Pątnów II Power Station sp. z o.o. and RAFAKO SA Boiler Engineering Company was concluded for designing and constructing, on a “turn key” basis, gypsum dehydrating and warehousing systems as well as designing and constructing a system of sewage treatment from flue gas from desulphurization installations.
In April and May 2007, the contractor carried out foundation works, performed jobs related to delivery and assembly of steel constructions and continued to compile technological specifications for the following: the next elements of the gypsum dehydrating and warehousing system, a hydrocyclone station of sewage disposal for the 460 MW power station and a monitoring system of the technological process for the gypsum dehydrating and warehousing system.
A voltage test of a stand-by transformer of the 464 MW power unit is planned to be carried out in June. Putting the transformer into operation will make it possible to conduct provisional start-up activities of individual power unit systems. The General Contractor, SNC Lavalin Company, confirmed that the first synchronization of the power unit is planned for 14th December this year.
