Piotr Woźny

Education

 

A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. He completed a legal training for judges and legal counsels, after which he worked in the second profession. Until 2015 he had been a managing partner and head of telecommunications practice of GWW law office. 

 

Professional experience

 

Within the years 2000-2001 he served as deputy minister of communications in the government of Prime Minister Jerzy Buzek. From November 24, 2015 to the end of March 2017 he was Deputy Minister of Digitisation in the government of Prime Minister Beata Szydło, where he was responsible for issues related to the construction of broadband networks financed under the Digital Poland Operational Program, and for the concept of the creation and functioning of the National Educational Network.

 

From May 2017 he was involved in matters connected with the fight against smog; at first as an advisor to the then Deputy Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, then, from 17 January 2018, as deputy minister at the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Technology, and from March 2018, until May 31, 2020 as the Plenipotentiary of the Prime Minister for the Clean Air program. He dealt with the issues of creating legal regulations regarding the emission standards of solid-fuel boilers and the quality standards of solid fuels used to heat homes, as well as the implementation of a thermomodernization tax relief in personal income tax, which was introduced from January 1, 2019. 

 

From June 2018 until January 2019 he served as deputy president of the board of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW), and from August 31, 2019, until May 31, 2020 he was the president of the board of NFOŚiGW. As the president of the board of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management, he was responsible for supervising the “My Current” program supporting the purchase of home photovoltaic systems implemented by NFOŚiGW, as well as for the modification and implementation of the Clean Air Program change.

 

From June 2020 to November 2020, Mr Piotr Woźny was the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of ZE PAK SA.
